President and CEO of Noetic Technologies, Inc

Les Goff joined the University of Southern Mississippi in October 2003 as Executive Director of Innovation and Business Development. Along with his duties of business development for the University he is the President & CEO of Noetic Technologies, Inc. Noetic is a for profit company initiative of the University’s Research Foundation. Noetic Technologies, Inc. also manages industry contracts, joint ventures and business start ups for the University. Les co-founded Noetic Technologies, Inc and leads several early stage start-up companies that are active today.

Les Goff was the General Manager of Global Application Technology for GE Plastics, a position he assumed in 2002. In this position, he is responsible for Design and Engineering teams, material process and testing teams that focus on new application development for the 6 Billion dollar revenue global plastics business.

Les joined GE Plastics in 1988 and has held positions in Crystalline Product Development, Electronics Global Marketing Manager, and various commercial and technical leadership positions. He also had assignments in Europe, Bergen op Zoom, The Netherlands in Valox Product Technology and the Global Additives Team working in Flame Retardant Materials. He also achieved Certified Master Black status (a Six Sigma Award) and led the start up of three new businesses in GE Plastics. He was later appointed General Manager of the Special Products and Services that contained the three start-up businesses, i.e., Custom Engineered Products, ColorXpress and Custom Color Small Lots Resins which generated approximately $350 million dollars of revenue per year.

Goff received his PhD in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Southern Mississippi.
